Second Maritime Silk Road Fuzhou International Tourism Festival concludes Nepal Travel BizNews

Fuzhou , China: The Second Maritime Silk Road (Fuzhou) International Tourism Festival concluded here recently urging all the regions along the maritime silk road to strengthen cooperation to cherish the goal.

The festival, with” Fuzhou on Maritime Silk Road “as the theme, aims at building a new tourism regional cooperation platform.

The Second Maritime Silk Road (Fuzhou) International Tourism Festival, hosted and organized by China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), Fujian Provincial People's Government, Fuzhou Municipal People's Government and Fujian Provincial Tourism Bureau, set up “9+9 International Tourism City Cooperation Alliance.”

 

The representatives from the tourism administrations of nine Chinese cities and nine overseas organizations along the Maritime Silk Road jointly signed a framework agreement of "9+9 International Tourism City Cooperation Alliance."  

The travel city alliance of 9+ 9 plans to strengthen tourism cooperation between the cities along the Maritime Silk Road.

On the occasion, Vice Governor of Fujian Province Huang Qiyu urged all the concerned to jointly build the "Maritime Silk Road”.“As Fujian Province is the starting point of ancient silk road, the government is committed to revitalize the maritime silk road,” he said.

The leader of China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) opined that the international tourism festival will encourage all the countries to join “One Belt, One Road “project.

Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed “One Belt and One Road “initiative bringing a new opportunity for socio-economic development of the countries along Maritime Silk Road in 2013.

Similarly, Maritime Silk Road (MSR) International Tourism festival Wisdom Tourism Peak Forum, MSR international Tourism Carnival, 7th Fuzhou Hot Spring International Tourism Festival, Fuzhou Folk Tourism Festival and other activities of national and international importance were organized during the tourism festival.

Six experts and academicians threw light on different issues of “wisdom tourism “.

Director of CNTA Information Center Cai Jiacheng , senior vice President of Ctrip.com Li Xiaoping and senior engineer Zhang Xin and personalities representing cities along maritime silk road threw light on “ science and technology , how to make the tourism full of wisdom “ during International Tourism Festival Wisdom Tourism Peak Forum .

More than 300 foreign delegates from 25 countries, leaders of domestic tourism administrations of the Chinese cities along MSR , representatives of top 100 national travel agencies and 1000 dignitaries representing tourism and cultural circles attended the 2nd MSR ( Fuzhou) International Tourism Festival.

The Second Maritime Silk Road (Fuzhou) International Tourism Festival will continue for 50 days up to 31 December this year.

Fuzhou, the capital city of Fujian province, is one of the popular tourist destination on the southeast coast of mainland China .The historical places of like Three Alleys and Seven Lanes, square pavilion to commemorate Lin Zexu , National Forest Park, Gushan mountain and Guling ridge , and Pagoda Anchorage Park have allured thousands tourists in Fuzhou.

Fujian Province lies in the southeastern coast of China bordering Zhejiang Province, Jiangxi Province and Guangdong Province.

Fujian, facing Taiwan across the Straits and one of the closest mainland provinces to Southeast Asia and Oceania, is regarded as an important center of China for global exchanges. Fujian governs nine municipal cities Fuzhou, Xiamen, Quanzhou, Zhangzhou, Putian, Longyan, Sanming, Nanping and Ningde , as well as 85 subordinated counties, cities and districts .

The brief name of Fujian, "Min", is derived from Min River, the greatest river within the province. Covering a land area of 121,400 square kilometers and a sea area of 136,000 square kilometers, the population of Fujian province is about 37 million.

Fujian government has been actively implementing the policy of “ One Belt One Road “ initiative.
