• BB Airways selects Abacus

    Abacus International, Asia Pacific’s leading revenue partner for airlines  announced the signing of a new exclusive partnership with BB Airways, an airline based in Nepal.

    The exclusive agreement with Abacus is the first travel distribution agreement for BB Airways and will provide all Abacus-connected travel agents with complete and exclusive access to the full fares and content available for the airline beginning January 2013.

    “Abacus is very honoured to have been chosen by BB Airways as their very first distribution partner and privileged with their belief in our ability to provide them with the best support they need to reach out to their customers in Asia,” said Mr Ho Hoong Mau, Division Head, Airline Distribution, Abacus International.

    “We are very confident that with our knowledge of the region and extensive, productive network, we will be able to help them grow their brand during this very exciting period. Nepal is an important emerging market for Abacus and we are glad to play a role to help bring the world closer to the rich folklore and natural beauty of Nepal by improving access to BB Airways flight inventory and content for our Abacus subscribers.”

    The Agreement will also see BB Airways utilise key technology solutions from Abacus to help increase the efficiency of its current booking and ticketing processes as well as reach high yield customer segments.

    Established in 2012 by Nepali businessman Mr Bhaban Bhatta, BB Airways is a full service carrier that aims to provide the world with a taste of Nepal. The airline currently has two Boeing 757-200 aircrafts and operates from Nepal to Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong with plans to expand to Bangkok, Doha, Singapore, Delhi and Tokyo in the near future.- Abacus

      Dubai – As tourism destinations in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) continue to grow, involving local communities in destination development has become increasingly vital for long-term success.

      Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030 aims for 39.3 million visitors per year, while Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 targets 150 million domestic and international visits, emphasising how tourism is being established as a key element of economic diversification throughout the region.
