British Airways has launched a new online deposit payments service for customers booking their holiday package on ba.com. British Airways has launched a new online deposit payments service for customers booking their holiday package on ba.com. Customers who book “Flight+Hotel” or “Flight+Car” holidays are able to pay a deposit from as little as £150 per booking when they book and the remaining balance 10 weeks before departure.

Claire Bentley, managing director, British Airways Holidays, commented: “Following customer feedback, we are delighted to be able to introduce this new function on ba.com which will really assist holidaymakers and allow them to take advantage of all the benefits that deposit payments give. Customers will have the ability to pay a deposit now, secure the price and then save for the remainder of the balance which they will then pay closer to departure. This will benefit both families looking to budget for their 2013 holidays as well as those looking to book a special occasion like a honeymoon or luxury holiday.”

For 2013, Flight+Hotel and Flight+Car holidays valued between £300 and £999 can be secured for £150 deposit per booking or Flight+Hotel and Flight+Car holidays valued above £1,000 from £300 deposit per booking. The full payment is due 10 weeks prior to departure. This service excludes flight-only, hotel, car and experience-only bookings, and any hotel, car or experiences added to a flight-only booking, all of which require full payment at the time of booking.

Looking ahead to 2013, the airline predicts top hotspots will be holidays in Orlando, Barbados and New York as well as some of the new destinations that British Airways has recently announced including Sri Lanka and Alicante from Gatwick, which are both set to launch in the spring, 2013.-Agencies
