China launched ‘Beautiful China – 2017 Year of Silk Road Tourism’ campaign

Kathmandu : The China National Tourism Administration (CNTA)has launched a global tourism promotion campaign under the theme of “ Beautiful China – 2017 Year of Silk Road Tourism”.
The Beautiful China -2017 Year of Silk Road Tourism advertising campaign aims to attract more tourists from different destinations of the world.
The tourism campaign was released simultaneously in Beijing and more than 20 countries, including the U.S., Britain, France, Germany, Russia, Japan and South Korea in early this year.
CNTA will also launch a series of marketing and promotional activities to promote China tourism in 2017. The other popular themes of tourism promotion unveiled by CNTA and CNTO are – ” China – Beyond Your Imagination ” and ” China – Like Never Before “.
According to State Council five-year tourism plan (2016-2020), China strives to develop tourism into a major driver for economic transformation and upgrades.
China plans to hold a world summit in Beijing this year on its “One Belt, One Road” initiative to build a new Silk Road.
The “Silk Road Economic Belt ” concept was introduced by President Xi Jinping’s during his visit to Kazakhstan in September 2013.
The One Belt, One Road initiative – the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road – intends to promote connectivity and infrastructure development covering different countries of Asia, Europe and Africa.
Nepal has already welcomed the ‘One Belt , One Road’ initiative introduced by Chinese President Xi Jinping and hopes that the initiative could play a vital role in infrastructure development in South Asia region including Nepal.

The China National Tourist Office (CNTO) Kathmandu was established in 2001 as one of the overseas offices of the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA). CNTA has 20 overseas tourist offices around the world including Nepal.
China National Tourist Office (CNTO), Kathmandu, has been promoting China tourism in Nepal through various promotional activities.
