Everest Summiteer Wang Jing’s book on mountaineering ” Life at Altitude ” launched

Kathmandu: Everest summiteer Ms. Wang Jing of China has come forth with a book on mountaineering and expedition – ” Life at Altitude “.
Former Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation and General Secretary of UCPN-Maoist Posta Bahadur Bogati and Ist Vice President of Nepal Mountaineering Association Nima Nuru Sherpa jointly launched the book amidst a function here on May 26,2013.
Different personalities and tourism entrepreneurs hoped that the book will promote Nepal in People’s Republic of China.
Launching the book ‘ Life At Altitude” Bogati said the book will promote high Himalayas of Nepal in international arena and it will encourage Chinese tourists to visit Nepal. He praised Beijing Publishing Group Co. for publishing first book on Nepal Himalayas at the time of 60th anniversary of first Everest ascent by Tenzing Sherpa and Edmund Hillary.
On the occasion, Head of Cultural Department at Embassy of China in Nepal Zhang Ping, chief of Beijing Publishing Group Zhang Liang, NMA Ist Vice President Nima Nuru Sherpa, senior travel professional and Managing Director of Adventure Outdoor Excursion Dr. Kalyan Raj Sharma , NMA Secretary Diwas Pokharel highly praised veteran climber Wang Jing for writing book on her high altitude experiences during climbing of Qomolungma and high Himalayas of Nepal.
The speakers hoped that the publication will contribute to promote Nepal as adventure destination in China.
Author of the book Ms. Wang Jing highly evaluated Nepal’s tourism products, culture and friendly people of Nepal.
According to Beijing Publishing Group ( publisher of the book ) , the ipad version of the printed book “Life at Altitude” not only includes the precious mountaineering video shot in the altitude of 8000 meters, but also the 360 ° panoramic displaying the magnificent Mount Qomolungma, comprehensively combing the 16 climbing routes, perfectly presenting the surrounding 5 hiking lines in Mount Qomolungma and 14 peaks up to 8,000 meters by graphic presentation.

She participated in activities cleaning up the garbage in the Qomolungma high-altitude named “Clean the Mountain”.
Wang Jing has successfully climbed Cho Oyu (8201 m ), Makalu ( 8463 m), Mt. Manaslu ( 8156 meter) , Mt. Shishapangma (8012 m),Qomolungma (8844 m) , Lohtse (8516 m),Mt. Broad Peak ( 8051 m),Mt. Nuptse ( 7861 meter ) among others.
