• Goa Tourism wins Best Honeymoon/Romantic Destination at ITCTA awards

    Jaipur :  Goa Tourism’s continuous and determined efforts to aggressively market and promote the state in India and abroad through exhibitions and road shows is reaping good rewards. Goa Tourism has added another feather in its cap by winning the award for ‘Best Honeymoon/Romantic Destination – Goa’ announced by International Tourism Conclave and Travel awards(ITCTA) in Jaipur, Rajasthan on October 18, 2013.

    Sanjay Pande, Addl Director Tourism, Rajasthan handed over the award to Goa Tourism Official in the second international award gala ceremony held in Jaipur, also known as Pink City (Gulabi Shehar) .

    ITCTA is golden platform in terms of Cross Cultural exchange, a new chapter in Tourism cooperation, as the world comes together to promote tourism. The aim of the event is to accumulate tourism, hospitality, aviation industry, tour organizers, tour operators, travel agents and professionals related industries into a single arena. 

    Mr. Dilip Parulekar, Tourism Minister, Goa said, “Winning these awards helps create awareness about Goa’s potential and its rich heritage, culture, cuisine, landscapes and other tourist attractions. This kind of acknowledgement will help us in our efforts to attract tourists from India and abroad. The award is a testimony to the professional and aggressive marketing approach undertaken by Goa Tourism in the recent months which will continue in future”.

    Goa Tourism had introduced a progressive scheme named single window clearance scheme for major and minor tourism events like beach weddings and music festivals. The scheme has received tremendous response from party and wedding organisers thereby enabling the state to emerge as winner in the party and honeymoon destination category.- TBN
