• Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel Shanghai opens the first Talise Spa in China

    September 21, 2012

SHANGHAI, China – Talise Spa, the signature spa concept from the Jumeirah, opens its door for the first time in China at the Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel Shanghai. At Talise Spa, all treatments are personalised to cater to a guest’s individual needs, transforming mind, body and soul on a journey to self-discovery.

Talise Spa in Jumeirah’s five star hotel in Shanghai is an oasis of Oriental healing combining traditional wellbeing wisdom perfected over centuries in China, Asia and the Middle East with the latest international high-tech products and spa luxuries.

Located beside the uniquely designed Fitness Centre on the 7th Floor of the hotel, Talise Spa sits at the base of Jumeirah Shanghai’s Yu Cong Atrium, a 14-storey feng shui passageway ‘linking heaven and earth’. Designed according to Chinese feng shui philosophy, every detail in Talise Spa is carefully placed to ensure an ambience of peace and harmony.

The Talise Spa at Jumeirah Himalayas features three treatment spa suites: the Dubai Suite, the Shanghai Suite and the Himalayas Suite, with elements inspired after Dubai, Shanghai and the Himalayas. All the treatment Spa Suites are en-suite with their private showers, whirlpool bathtubs and steam rooms.

Talise Spa offers a wide range of facials including some using high-tech marine products from French brand Phytomer; and all Talise Spa massages will use 100% bio-organic essential oils by Austrian natural cosmetics company STYX. The signature and exclusive Talise Spa treatments include “Impressions of the Himalayas” and “Luxury Arabian Gold Bliss”. Along with Talise Spa’s highly experienced spa therapists, a licensed Master Therapist of Traditional Chinese Medicine is available for pre-booked healing sessions.

Before or after their treatment, guests can get their mind to a calm, Zen tune by admiring the landscaped Relaxation Garden from the Spa Lounge whilst savouring traditional Chinese medicinal teas and tonics. Guests can also complement their spa experience with fresh and healthy flavours from the Talise’s Spa menu including fresh juices, healthy smoothies and tasty high-nutrition snacks that are low in fat, salt and cholesterol.

Guests of Talise Spa have access to the 24-hour Fitness Centre of Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel, located on the same floor and fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, trained instructors, and a 20-metre indoor swimming pool. The Fitness Centre may also provide a whole range of services tailored to guest’s desired results.
