The Seychelles Tourism Board organized for the first time this year the beauty pageant as they felt that the islands’ population remains one of the island’s unique selling points. “Our country needs to showcase every single asset we have. Our population is, and will remain a key asset of us as a tourism destination. The diversity of our population is often referred to as the melting pot of cultures. If this is such an asset of our country, then we need to be proud of it and showcase the beauties we have coming out of this diversity of our people. This is an opportunity that open doors for our young ladies, but also it brings press coverage for our country and helps keep Seychelles visible in our different target markets,” Minister Alain St.Ange, the Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture said.MEDIA CONTACT: seychellesupdatednews@googlemail.com
