Modi sworn in India’s Prime Minister for a third term, Shekhawat new Tourism Minister

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat took charge as Union Minister of Tourism of India. Shekhawat was briefed by Secretary Ms. V. Vidyavathi and senior officials of the Ministry of Tourism about the schemes and initiatives of the ministry.
On the occasion Shekhawat expressed gratitude that he has been given this responsibility of globally showcasing Bharat and inviting the world to the country , according to a release issued by PIB and Ministry of Tourism of India.
“As PM Shri Narendra Modi has emphasized through his various visits and words about our tourism potential, we will work towards enhancing the same, highlighting our various natural and cultural heritage sites from Kashmir to Kanyakumari”, added the minister.
Similarly, Suresh Gopi took charge as Minister of State for Tourism Ministry of India. Gopi is Member of Parliament from Thrissur, Kerala , india.
Earlier, India’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Narendra Modi was sworn in as India’s Prime Minister for a third term by President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Jun 9, 2024.
The 73-year-old leader Modi was followed by senior ministers in the previous government: Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, and Piyush Goyal, among others.
Modi secured the third term in after multi-stage election that concluded on Jun 1 with the support of 14 regional parties in his BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.
