Nepal-China sign agreement on literary research and exchanges

Kathmandu: Nepal -China Friendship Forum and October Literature Academy of China have signed an agreement on literary and cultural cooperation and exchanges between the two countries.
The MoU was signed by Vice President Zhao Lanzhen on behalf of October Literature Academy ( OLA ) of Beijing Publishing Group Co. and Dr. Kalyan Raj Sharma on behalf of Nepal –China Friendship Forum ( NCFF).
The objective of the MoU is to strengthen mutual cooperation on matters related to literature, art and culture between the two countries.
On the occasion, Minister for Education Daniram Poudel expressed hope that a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between NCFF and OLA would greatly contribute to consolidate people-to-people friendship between the two countries. He highly evaluated activities of NCFF in strengthening relation and cooperation between Nepal and China.
Director of Beijing Publishing Group Co. Liu Zi Jun opined that mutual cooperation on translation and publication of literary works would contribute Chinese and Nepali people to have depth knowledge of the people and society of both the countries.
Zhang Bing , First Secretary at Embassy of China ,stressed on further strengthening multilateral relations between the two countries including publication of literary works in Chinese and Nepali languages.
Writers Ninu Chapagain and Abhi Subedi highlighted on cultural relations between the two countries.
As the people of the two countries are attracted by each other’s unique and diversified culture, cultural relations and exchanges have gained momentum in recent years.
Buddhist monks Fa Xian and Hyun Tsang , Princess Bhrikuti of Nepal and architect Arniko were great messengers in early period of Nepal- China friendship.
Sept. 25 , 2016
