    Nepal participates in 12th TITF Bangkok and India Sales Mission

    Kathmandu: Nepal participated in the 12th Thai International Tourism Fair, TITF 2013 held in Bangkok from 14 to 17 February. The four day consumer fair organized by the Thai Travel Agents Association saw overwhleming visitors of 850,000 and transactions worth 1000 million baht, according to the organizers.

    Nepal participated in the fair along with four trade companies, Global Holidays Tours and Travels Pvt. Ltd, Asia Explore Adventures & Travel, Divine International Explore & Treks Pvt. Ltd and Kathmandu Group of Hotels led by Nepal Tourism Board.

    Nepal’s booth attracted the large number of Thai visitors, mostly Buddhists. TITF is organized twice a year to cash on the two major blocks of holidays in Thailand, March-April and October.

    TITF is the largest consumer fair in Thailand and lists among the top ten in ASEAN region. Thailand is among the major market with estimated outbound tourists of 1 million. 
    Thailand remains a stable market for Nepal over the past few years.

    Similarly , Nepal Tourism Board along with six Nepali private sector participants organized sales B2B missions in three cities; Indore in Madhya Pradesh and Surat and Rajkot in the state of Gujrat.

    Nepal Tourism Board and the tour operators presented the wide range of tourism attractions, products and services to the potential tour operators. 

    According to NTB,Nepali tour operators and all prominent tour operators in the respective cities took part in the B2B sessions in order to renew the old connections as well as to initiate new business relationships.

    Nepal was represented by Kashi Raj Bhandari, Director, Nepal Tourism Board. The private sector partners at the program were; Eco Trek Nepal, Eastlink Travel, Jai Mata Di Travel, Nebuti Travels, Samrat Travels and Tours and Shrestha Holidays.
