    Nepal promoted at Adventure Sports Expo Asia in Delhi

    Kathmandu: Nepali travel professionals representing different agencies participated at Adventure Sports Expo Asia (ASEA) 2018 held in Delhi this week.

    Seven companies from the private sector tourism industry – Adventure Outdoor Treks and Expeditions, Everest Summit Lodges, High Ground Adventures Nepal, Himalaya Kailash Travels and Tours , Himalayan Holidays Trekking, Incentive Holidays, and Nepal Sanctuary Treks exhibited their tourism products at ASEA-2018.

    Officials of Nepal Tourism Board, Nepal Airlines, and PATA Nepal Chapter represented Nepal at the Adventure Sports Expo Asia held on January 27-29.

    “The Expo provided an ideal platform for promotion of Nepal as the ultimate adventure destination, in getting in touch with the adventure tour buyers and sellers in the region, and in providing latest updates in the adventure tourism segment of Nepal,” PATA Nepal states.

    Chairman of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter Sunil Shakya highlighted on Nepal’s adventure sport activities like trekking, mountaineering, rafting, kayaking, paragliding, ultralight flying, sky diving, bungee jumping, mountain biking, ziplining, jungle activities available in Nepal at the Expo.

    On the occasion CEO  of Nepal Tourism Board  Deepak Raj Joshi, PATA-Nepal Chapter Chairman Sunil Shakya, Joint Secretary of PATA Nepal Chapter  Bibhu Thakur, and Founding President of Nepal River Conservation Trust  Megh Ale were awarded for their dedication  to quality and responsible tourism.

    President of Adventure Travel and Tourism Association Shannon Stowell , Indian cricketer Kapil Dev and  Indian adventure tourism pioneer  Ajeet Bajaj  and various personalities attended the Expo.

    The expo was endorsed by Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India and supported by  ATTA (Adventurer Travel Trade Association) ,  ESOI (Ecotourism Society of India), OTOAI (Outbound Tour Operators Association of India), IATO (The Indian Association of Tour Operators) and ADTOI (Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India), and ATOAI (Adventure Tour Operator Association).

    The Expo provided platform for adventure-related B2B, B2C and B2G gathering from across the world, according to a statement issued by PATA Nepal Chapter.

    A large number of foreign adventure tour operators and entrepreneurs were interested on adventure tourism products of Nepal at the Expo.
