Nepal promoted in Scandinavian countries and Malaysia

Kathmandu: Nepal Sales Mission 2014 programs held in the Scandinavian countries of Denmark, Norway and Sweden after the conclusion of ITB Berlin attracted the people of Scandinavian countries to visit Nepal.
The Nepal Sales Mission program was held in Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm on March 11, 13 and 17 respectively.
On the occasion, Secretary of Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and Chairman of NTB Sushil Ghimire said, “Nepal government has given high priority to tourism promotion and development and is taking various policy decisions to attract both visitors and investment in the tourism sector.”
He reiterated that the new stable government would give further inputs for the tourism sector of Nepal to move forward.
Acting CEO of NTB Subash Nirola gave a comprehensive presentation on the tourism attractions of Nepal. The six private sector companies Outdoor Expeditions (P.) Ltd, Wonderland Travels Nepal (P.) Ltd., Asia Adventure Excursions Pvt. Ltd., Yeti Travels Pvt. Ltd., The Explore Nepal P. Ltd. and Royal Mountain Travel Pvt. Ltd.participated in the sales mission to the Scandinavian countries.
Nepal Promoted in MATTA 2014
Likewise , Nepal Tourism Board along with 14 Nepalese tourism companies and Nepal Airlines participated in 37th MATTA Fair, Malaysia’s leading and premier consumer tourism show from 14-16 March 2014 at Putra World Trade Center in Kuala Lumpur.
The tourism show, organized by Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents ( WISM MATTA) and inaugurated by the Malaysian Tourism and Culture Minister, Dato Seri Mohamad Nazri bin Abdul Aziz, attracted around 90 thousands visitors in the fair , a press statement issued by NTB stated.
With air connectivity between Kuala Lumpur and Kathmandu , Malaysia is emerging as a promising and potential tourism market for Nepalese tourism industry.
