    London -Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) is welcoming the 2015/16 ski season with two new hotels to boost its collection of luxurious ski properties spanning Europe and North America.

    El Lodge in Spain’s Sierra Nevada and Hotel Pashmina Le Refuge in Val Thorens, France, will be opening their doors for the first time in December to guests looking for a slice of sophistication on the slopes, while Das Marent in the Tyrolean Alps will be re-opening for the winter season.

    El Lodge Ski and Spa, Granada, Spain will open in December 2015 and offer a luxurious boutique ski retreat in Spain’s Sierra Nevada Mountains. The hotel’s layout offers flexible accommodation with options varying from individual rooms and suites to exclusive use of floors. 

    Hotel Pashmina Le Refuge, Val Thorens, French Alps, France  is the latest venture by the Gorini family who have been in Val Thorens for two generations. The hotel will offer 42 bedrooms and eight Cosy Home suites that provide guests with opportunity to stay in en-suite hotel bedrooms but with a communal living area complete with self-catering facilities that make them ideal for large families and groups of friends.

    The hotel will also offer an unforgettable experience with an IglooPod room available on the hotel’s rooftop where fortunate guests can gaze up at the stars as they sleep under the night sky at 2,350m altitude.

    Das Marent, Fiss, Tyrol, Austria is located in the middle of the Tyrolean Alps, just five minutes from the village centre and ski lifts. The spa at Das Marent has a magical feel, lit by candles and dotted with sculptures, a place where guests can hop between the Finnish sauna and steam bath, take a dip in the pool and curl up on a sofa-sized lounger.  From the hotel guests can enjoy the 212km of slopes, working their way between numerous traditional alpine huts as the day progresses and access to the cable car in Serfuass-Fiss-Ladis is made easy thanks to a courtesy shuttle from the hotel.

    SLH operates  520 hotels offers 30 additional ski hotels across the world in popular destinations including Vermont, Verbier, Wengen, Zermatt, Coucheval, St Anton, St Moritz and Jackson Hole. – slh.com
