• Cinestar Chiranjeevi new Tourism Minister in India

    New Delhi : Dr K Chiranjeevi is appointed as the Minister of State with Independent Charge (I/C) for Tourism, Government of India. He replaces Subodh Kant Sahai, who recently tendered his resignation as Minister for Tourism, Government of India. 

    Shri K.C. Venugopal took charge as Minister of State for Civil Aviation. He called for coordinated efforts by all stakeholders to boost the growth of the sector. Earlier Shri Venugopal was Minister of State for Power.

     Speaking to the media persons after assuming charge as Union Minister of Tourism , K . Chiranjeevi said that with his 30 years of experience in cinema, he will seek the cooperation of Cinestars in promotion of “incredible India”. Shri Chiranjeevi said that India has a vast Tourism potential with its variety of flora, fauna and monuments which is yet to be exploited to its maximum.  He said that present share of India in International Tourism is very low and we should strive hard to increase it up to at least one percent.

    Shri Chiranjeevi began his acting career in 1977 and has acted in 149 Telugu, three Tamil, three Hindi and two Kannada Films. He floated his political party Praja Rajayam and won 18 seats in 2009 Andhra Pradesh assembly elections. He merged his party with Congress last year and was elected to Rajya Sabha in April this year. – PBI / India

      Arabian Travel Market 2025, held under the theme “Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity”,  featured more than 200 speakers across three content stages and welcomes over 55,000 travel professionals from 166 countries.
