Spicejet- latest airline to join Amadeus e-Travel Management

Bangkok – Amadeus announced that SpiceJet, one of India’s major air player, is now available to users of Amadeus e-Travel Management (AeTM), Amadeus’ online multi global distribution system (GDS) corporate booking tool.

In response to increased demand from travel managers wanting to book low cost carriers (LCCs) in India, Amadeus has created a framework that delivers SpiceJet’s full content to AeTM users via a direct API development.

The announcement marks a milestone for Amadeus, with the airline being the first of a number of Indian LCCs whose content will be made available through AeTM over the coming year, highlighting the flexible and open nature of Amadeus technology, which is used by both full service, low cost, international airlines and small and medium size carriers alike.

Users of AeTM in India will also be able to book ancillary services such as in-flight meals while ensuring they are booking negotiated corporate fares. Additionally, AeTM users have flexible account payment options rather than having to input credit card details in every traveller’s profile or at the end of every booking.

We are delighted to work with industry leaders like Amadeus, to ensure our fares are available to corporations in India with the potential to reach over 6,000 corporations worldwide. Thanks to Amadeus’ technology leadership, we can reach our future business goals to establish SpiceJet as the leading LCC for travel within India.”

AeTM serves every aspect of a corporations’ travel needs through a single entry point, providing corporate travellers with choice and control over their trips, allowing them to easily plan, book and purchase complete travel itineraries, while complying with their company’s travel policies.
