Thailand aims to welcome 30 million international tourists this year

    Travel Biz News —-

Thailand expects to welcome up to 30 million international visitors this year, signaling a rebound in the tourism sector after a challenging period.

The revenue target for the tourism industry is set at 2.3 trillion baht, which is around 80% of the pre-pandemic revenue recorded in 2019.

Increased visitor arrivals from China, along with anticipated growth from Europe and the Americas, are driving the positive outlook for Thailand’s tourism industry, according to Thailand Business News .

The Tourism Authority of Thailand estimates that the number of visitors will be between 28 and 30 million. This year, Thailand has already surpassed last year’s number of visitors, with 15 million so far.

Additionally, domestic tourism has been on the rise due to special holidays, with 20-25 million trips per month. The TAT will continue to promote Thai tourism to meet its targets.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand is implementing various strategies to attract and cater to the increasing number of international tourists. One of the initiatives is a comprehensive marketing campaign that showcases the rich cultural heritage, stunning natural landscapes, and diverse range of experiences that Thailand has to offer.

Similarly , Thailand has recorded 19 million foreign tourists in the period from January to September 17 this year, generating 795 billion baht ($22.26 billion) in revenue.
