    Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Ishwar Pokhrel emphasized to promote Nepal’s incredible tourism products to attract more tourists in the country.

    Addressing the grand finale award ceremony of nationwide video challenge “My village, My Place “here on Monday, Deputy PM Pokhrel urged all to contribute by identifying and promoting hidden natural attractions in different parts of the country.

    On the occasion, founder of We will Rise Foundation (WWRF) Tulsikumar  Gurung, and Project Coordinator Nirmal Shrestha highlighted on activities of the social organization to promote unsung destinations of the country.

    The Foundation awarded 12 videos for the ‘Public Choice Award’ category under the theme of “My Village, My Place (Mero Gaun, Mero Thau)”. The award caries a purse of Rs 100,000 and honors.

    A total of 47 personalities were awarded with cash prize and honours under the categories of Public Choice Award, Best Script Writer, Cinematographer, Women Video Maker of the Year, Best Videos of the Year, Future Star, Most Energetic Video Maker and Most Potential Destination.

    The jury selected the 47 videos among the 132 videos participating in the national tourism destination video competition “Mero Gaun , Mero Thaun.”

    We Will Rise Foundation (WWRF) organized the tourism destination award video challenge grand finale in cooperation with Nepal Tourism Board, VNY 2020 and Film Development Board.

    The foundation is involved in different social activities under” We will Rise “campaign after the devastating earthquake of 25 April 2015.

    The Public Choice Award videos of 2019 are – Chatha Puja, Dagura Tharu , Dailekh , Journey to Singla , Lig Lig Pahilo Paila , Manung Kot , Rainas , Ramaroshan ,Rolling Monastery , Sandakpur , Solu Dudhkunda , and Thak Thimi.

      Arabian Travel Market 2025, held under the theme “Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity”,  featured more than 200 speakers across three content stages and welcomes over 55,000 travel professionals from 166 countries.
