    World Travel Awards will hold Grand Final in Qatar

    Doha: World Travel Awards (WTA) has ended months of speculation by confirming its 20th anniversary Grand Final to be hosted by La Cigale Hotel, Doha, on November 30, 2013.

    WTA was established in 1993, to recognize, acknowledge and reward the leading travel, tourism and hospitality organizations in the world, those companies which push the boundaries of excellence in product and service, and create groundbreaking ideas. The brand has since developed into the most prestigious and comprehensive awards program in tourism, and is recognized worldwide as the hallmark of industry excellence.

    The Wall Street Journal is among the many publications that have heralded WTA as “the Oscar’s of the travel industry”.The first ever event was held in Hollywood in 1994 and since then World Travel Awards has hosted Gala Ceremonies every year to celebrate the best in the international travel industry. Finals have taken place in London, New York, Las Vegas, Barbados, Turks & Caicos and New Delhi, to name but a few of the exotic locations visited over the past twenty years.
