SriLankan Airlines begins direct flight to Kathmandu

Kathmandu: SriLankan Airlines launched its direct flight from Colombo to Kathmandu today.
Travel professionals of Nepal and Sri Lanka opine that the direct air connectivity between capital cities of two countries is a milestone to strengthen tourism cooperation between the two South Asian countries.
“SriLankan Airlines made debut schedule operation today (31 August 2021) connecting Kathmandu to Colombo. Aircraft landed at 10.24 am with 132 passengers and departed at 11.10 carrying 149 passengers, “according to Pratap Babu Tiwari, General Manager of Tribhuvan International Airport.
SriLankan Airlines will operate two weekly direct flights using A320 aircraft on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
