    Himalaya Airlines resumes Kathmandu – Beijing direct flights

    Kathmandu – Himalaya Airlines has commenced its flight operation between Kathmandu- Beijing- Kathmandu starting Saturday (June 24).

    Himalaya Airlines (H9) believes that the resumption of the flight route will be a significant boost to both Nepalese tourism and trade.

    The first outbound flight, H9 665, departed from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu at 7:40 hours (local time) and will arrive at Beijing Daxing International Airport at 14:15 hours (local time) in Beijing, with a flight duration of 4 hours and 45 minutes. The return flight, H9 666, will depart from Beijing at 15:25 hours (local time) and land in Kathmandu at 18:30 hours (local time).

    “We are thrilled to re-introduce scheduled flights between Kathmandu and Beijing. We view the resumption of flights on this route post Covid-19 pandemic is significantly important as it connects two ancient capital cities of the region and that it will be fruitful to rejuvenate tourism growth between the two countries, ” said Mr. Vijay Shrestha, Vice-President, Himalaya Airlines.

    Passengers can now book their tickets for the Kathmandu-Beijing-Kathmandu flights from Himalaya Airline’s ticketing counter.                     

    Himalaya Airlines (H9) is a Nepal-China joint venture International Airlines, established in 2014.  The joint venture alliance is between Tibetan Civil Aviation Development & Investment Company Ltd. (TCADIC) as the Chinese partner, and Yeti World Investment Pvt. Ltd. as the local Nepalese partner.

    H9 young fleet has total 4 aircraft: three Airbus 320-214 (180 all-economy seats) and one Airbus 319-115 (144 all economy seats).

    The airlines is currently operating passenger flights to UAE, Malaysia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bangladesh and China.
