• Nepal confers ‘ Commercially Important Person ‘ title to 34 individuals

    Kathmandu: Nepal Government has recognized 34 business organizations and individuals as ‘ Commercially Important Person (CIP) ‘ for their contribution to the country in different categories of trade and commerce.

    President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav conferred the CIP emblem and certificates to the representatives of 34 business firms under different 15 categories at a function organized at the President’s Office, Sital Niwas on Jan.27.

    Those conferred the CIP title are Tenzin Zeopa Sherpa of The Sangrila Carpet and Handicraft Industries; Hari Prasad Bhatta of Nepal Fashion ; Karken Tangbe Gurung of Everest Pashmina Knit and Weaving Industry; Birendra Kumar Sanghai of Triveni Dal and Oil Industries; Hasan Ansari of Asian Leather Industries; Harkirat Singh Bedi of Dabur Nepal; Maheshwor Shrestha of Everest Fashion ; Krishna Prasad Prasai of Ilam Tea Producers ; Ram Prasad Shrestha of Api Himalayan International ; Abid Ali Ansari of Asian Leather Industries ; Doma Lama of Shangrila Agro World ; Steve T. Cibor of Baltimore, USA; Rishi Punnakhar Dhakal of Rising International Inc. USA, and Christian Goldmann of OTO GmbH, Germany .

    Other CIP awardees include Kilas Ram Kuddan Chaurasia of Dabur India Limited; China’s Beijing Medicine and Health Product Corporation; Tibet Yentayo Trading Company Khasa,China; Dorma S L R , Italy; Bhusan Power and Steel, India; Rajkumar Golchha of Arihand Multifiber ; Chandra Prasad Dhakal of International Money Express ; Suresh Lal Shrestha of Hyatt Regency ; Singha Bahadur Basnyat of Yeti Travels ; Anoop Ranjan Bhattarai of Nepal Telecom ; Suraj Vaidya of Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry ; Narendra Kumar Basnyat of confederation of Nepalese Industries; Anup Bahadur Malla of Nepal Carpet Exporters’ Association;Sambhu Shrepa of Central Carpet Industry Association;Udaya Raj Pandey of Garment Association Nepal;Pushpaman Shrestha of Nepal Pashmina Industries Association;Hem Ratna Shakya of Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal ; Rita Bhandary of Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs’ Association and Nepal Chamber of Commerce.

    The CIPs recognized today will remain valid till 2015.CIPs will enjoy special treatment at the VIP lounge of the airport and other privileges and facilities.
