    Outrigger wins Family Friendly Awards in Phuket and Fiji

    Bangkok : Outrigger Laguna Phuket Resort and Villas, Outrigger on the Lagoon, Fiji, and Castaway Island, Fiji, an Outrigger Resort, voted best in their regions for family holidays.

    Three Outrigger Resort properties have taken top honours in their respective regions in the Out & About with Kids magazine’s 2014 Best of Family Travel Awards. The Outrigger Laguna Phuket Resort and Villas in Thailand has been named Asia’s number one family resort. In Fiji, the Outrigger on the Lagoon, Fiji, won the best award in the Pacific Islands region, with Castaway Island, managed by Outrigger, in Fiji’s Mamanuca Islands region, taking second place.

    The awards were announced on 21 July following thousands of votes from Out & About with Kids magazine readers between October 2013 and April 2014.

    Marc Landgraf, the General Manager of Outrigger Laguna Phuket Resort and Villas said: “Spacious villas and suites, a village-like set up throughout the resort, a kids club, nanny service and kids pool next to our sun lounge area and main restaurant make us a favorite among families with kids. Our staff is very proud to have this acknowledged by readers of Out & About with Kids magazine.”

    Outrigger on the Lagoon, Fiji General Manager, Peter Hopgood said that the award stems from creating a holiday experience in which the whole family can participate.

    To celebrate the awards, the Outrigger properties in Phuket and Fiji have announced special packages.The Outrigger Laguna Phuket Resort and Villas is offering a value added “Family Summer Promotion” until 31 October, 2014. Kids under 12 of registered in-house guests dine free. 

    The Fiji package is valid for stays from 7 October, 2014 to 31 March, 2015 .
