    Nepal, China TAR sign protocol for cooperation in mountain tourism

    Kathmandu: China Tibet Mountaineering Association (CTMA) and Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance bilateral cooperation and strengthen relationships in areas of mountain tourism .

    The protocal to strengthen relations and cooperation was signed between Zhang Mingxing , Secretary General of Chinese Tibet Mountaineering Association and Ang Tshiring Sherpa , President of NMA.

    China Tibet Mountaineering Association and Nepal Mountaineering Association have agreed to exchange project by sharing information on mountain climbing and mountain climbing techniques,share information related with mountaineering environment and its effect on mountain climate, explore ideas approaches to boost tourism in both the countries and share knowledge on mountaineering training and rescue techniques on mountains to develop mountaineering as safe profession.

    On the occasion, the leader of six-member delegation of CTMA and Director of Mountaineering Administrative Center of Tibet Autonomous Region Mr. Zhang Mingxing said that mutual cooperation between both the organizations would contribute to develop mountain tourism in China Tibet Autonomous Region and Nepal.

    Secretary at Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Suresh Man Shrestha , President of NMA Ang Tshiring Sherpa and General Secretary of NMA Thakur Raj Pandey opined that implementation of the protocol would promote Himalayas and expedition activities around the world .

    The relationship between China Tibet Mountaineering Association and Nepal Mountaineering Association goes back to over three decades. Since then both the associations have been making concerted efforts to improve mountain climbing and people’s appreciation of nature as sports.
