Incredible India 2.0 aims to promote various destinations and tourism products: K. J. Alphons

New Delhi : The Ministry of Tourism of India has launched the Incredible India 2.0 campaign to promote various destinations and tourism products of the country including spiritual, medical and wellness tourism in important and potential source markets overseas.
The Incredible India 2.0 campaign aims at a shift from generic promotions undertaken across the world to market specific promotional plans and content creation with thematic creatives on different niche products including spiritual, medical and wellness tourism .
This information was given by K. J. Alphons, Union Minister of State for Tourism in a written reply in Lok Sabha today according to a statement issued by MoT of India.
The Ministry, as part of its on-going activities, annually releases global print, electronic and online media campaigns in important and potential markets overseas, under the ‘Incredible India’ brand-line, to promote various tourism destinations and products of the country, including the cultural heritage.
Similarly , a total amount of Rs. 5638 crore was sanctioned under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme of Ministry of Tourism.
Under the Swadesh Darshan scheme, thirteen thematic circuits have been identified, for development namely: North-East India Circuit, Buddhist Circuit, Himalayan Circuit, Coastal Circuit, Krishna Circuit, Desert Circuit, Tribal Circuit, Eco Circuit, Wildlife Circuit, Rural Circuit, Spiritual Circuit, Ramayana Circuit and Heritage Circuit.
President Ram Nath Kovind had officially launched “Incredible India 2.0 Campaign”, “Adopt a Heritage” project on the occasion of World Tourism Day on September 27 last year.
