‘ Etihad Chef’s Corner ‘ held to promote culinary tourism

Kathmandu: Etihad Airways organized “Etihad Chef’s Corner ‘ here presenting local fusion food and finesse wine on Tuesday.
The event was organized in association with Kathmandu Marriott Hotel and Nepal Tourism Board with participation of officials of the government , diplomats , travel professionals and renowned chefs.

On the occasion, Etihad Airways Area Manager for Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka Dougie Douglas expressed his view on importance of culinary tourism.
Chief Executive Officer of NTB Deepak Raj Joshi hoped that such events would help to promote Visit Nepal Year 2020.

Thomas A. Gugler, President of World Chef’s Association, highlighted on activities of the organization to promote international tourism.
World Chefs , a global network of more than 100 chefs associations , is dedicated to maintain and improve the culinary standards of global cuisines .


Similarly, General Manager of Kathmandu Marriott Hotel Jean Louis Ripoche and Country Manager of Etihad Airways in Nepal Pawana Shrestha emphasized on organizing such gastronomic events to promote tourism.
On the occasion, renowned chefs Thomas A. Gugler, Sanjay Thakur, Bead Adhikari and Sanjeev Ranjan were felicitated for their contribution in strengthening food culture.
Etihad Airways, established in 2003 and owned by the Government of United Arab Emirates, offers a network of over 110 passenger and cargo destinations across six continents with more than 120 aircraft.
Etihad Airways launched scheduled flights from Abu Dhabi to Kathmandu on 28 October 2007 and has served more than 1.2 million guests between the two cities so far.
