China Southern connects Nepal to international destinations

Guangzhou: Nepal is connected to different parts of the world through China Southern Airlines.Tourist arrivals from China increased in recent months due to reliable and efficient flights of China Southern Airlines to Kathmandu.
China Southern Airlines (CZ) operates the largest fleet, most developed route network and largest passenger capacity in The People’s Republic of China.
The airline flies on Guangzhou-Kathmandu-Guangzhou route six times a week and plans to increase the flights keeping in view increasing demands for air seats.
China Southern , a Sky Team member airline, increased its flight frequency to six flights a week on Kathmandu-Guangzhou route from last week of January, 2011.The airline operates Airbus 319 on Kathmandu-Guangzhou route with business class, premium class and economy class seats on the route.
According to Rebecca Huang, country manager of China Southern Airlines Kathmandu Office, the airlines has contributed a lot for tourism promotion between China and Nepal. Most of the tourists visiting Nepal from different countries including China prefer China Southern Airlines.
Nepali tourism entrepreneurs have focused on China as the prime tourism market in recent years. Chinese tourists started visiting Nepal after the Government of China included Nepal in the list of Approved Destination Status countries for outbound Chinese tourists in November, 2001.
‘As the Government of Nepal has recently decided to establish a Consular Section at Guangzhou of China, the tourist arrival from China and trade volume is expected to go up,’ opine travel professionals.Chinese tourist arrivals via air reached 17,341 in the first three months of 2013.
At present, China Southern Airlines operates about 500 passenger and cargo transport aircrafts, including Boeing 777, 747, 757 & 737 and Airbus A380, 330, 321, 320, 319.
With Guangzhou and Beijing as its central hubs, the airline boasts a route network spanning from China to different countries of Asia, Europe, America, Australia and Africa.
China Southern has more than 1,930 daily flights to 193 destinations in 35 countries and regions across the world. The airlines global route network spans 1000 destinations to 187 countries and regions and nearly every major world metropolis through close cooperation with its SkyTeam partner airlines.
China Southern transported more than 86 million passengers in 2012, ranking the carrier first in Asia and the third among the 240 Airlines in IATA, topping all Chinese airlines for 34 years according to the officials of CSA.

China Southern Airlines Sky Pearl International VIP Lounge was officially launched in Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport on January 9, 2012. It is said to be the largest and the most luxurious VIP lounge in China.
The five Sky Pearl VIP lounges at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport provide business class passengers facilities of free shower, massage chairs, free refreshments, TV, computers, internet access, newspapers and magazines.
