Tibet Government Chairman Luo Sang stresses on tourism promotion

Kathmandu: Chairman of the Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) of the People’s Republic of China Luo Sang Jiang Cun has stressed to strengthen economic cooperation between TAR and Nepal.
Visiting TAR Chairman Luo Sang Jiang Cun discussed on matters relating to bilateral relations, Nepal’s historical relations with Tibet, commercial and tourism potentials with the Nepali Prime Minister and leaders of political parties during his four day visit to Nepal.
Lou Sang urged the Nepali government officials to take part in tourism and trade fair to be organized in Tibet.He announced an additional 20 million Yuan annual aid to Nepal.
Appreciating Nepal’s commitment on one-China policy, Luo Sang urged for increased cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of both countries and security cooperation in bordering areas.
Chaiman Luo Sang Jiang Cun arrived Kathmandu on October 27, leading a six-member delegation. The delegation also visited Lumbini and Bhaktapur.
The Chairman also called on President, Prime Minister, DPM and Minister for Home Affairs, Hon. DPM and Minister for Culture, Foreign Minister andMinister for Tourism and Civil Aviation in Kathmandu.
Nepal is Tibet’s biggest trade partner accounting for nearly 58.5 percent of Tibet’s total 3.3 billion U.S.$ foreign trade in 2013.
Similarly, Tibet received 12.91 million domestic and overseas tourists and 16.5 billion Yuan (2.7 billion U.S.$) of revenue in 2013.
Himalayan Airlines, a company newly forged by China’s Tibet Airlines and two Nepali companies, plans to launch its regular flight between Lhasa and Kathmandu with Airbus 320 in near future.
